The DSH Series Foundry Torch of gouging arc ® is an essential part of the money saving air carbon arc metal removal process, which melts metal with an electric arc, then blows it away with a jet of ordinary shop compressed air.
The DSH Series Foundry Torch of gouging arc ® is a highly efficient metal removal tool for all the heavy foundry applications. It speeds up padwashing, removes defects in castings and generally cleans castings of fins, nails and other unnecessary metal and it has found application as a method for washing off excess metal such as pads remaining when gates and risers are cut from Casting. This process has replaced grinding, chipping, and oxyacetylene gouging in some instances.
This process is extensively used in foundries. This process can eliminate heavy & cumbersome equipments like cutters, grinder & oxy-acetylene for removal of gats & risers besides casting surplus/ overflow & defects.
